- We are offering a four-race series.
- 125 Mile
- 175 Mile
- 250 Mile
- 350 Mile
- All birds must be banded with a 2026 seamless band recognized by a National Organization.
- Accepting birds from February 1st through May 31st.
- Will accept replacement birds before June 30th.
- All birds must be vaccinated against PMV at least 14 days before arriving at the loft.
- The loft capacity is 1200 birds.
- Perch Fee is:
- $100 per bird
- 6 birds for $500
- 13 birds for $1,000
- The Perch Fee must be sent with the birds.
- The Perch Fees are non-refundable.
- The Entry Fee is $300 per bird.
- Entry fees must be paid after the 100 Mile Activation Race and before the 125 Mile Race.
- All birds must be activated to maintain eligibility.
- Birds not activated by the time of the 125 Mile Race will become the property of Nebraska Pigeon Derby and may be activated by another breeder.
- All birds will have their 9th and 10th flight pulled.
- Entry fees will be refunded if the bird does not make it to the 125 Mile Race.
- Race dates are subject to change due to weather conditions and the condition of the birds.
- Prizes will be awarded by clocking order except for the final race.
- The final 350 Mile Race will be paid on the first drop and then clocking order.
- If a bird arrives in the first group and doesn't clock in before the second group, or if any other bird arrives, it will be placed by clocking order.
- All races are open for 48 hours from the time of release.
- 20% of the entry fees will be held for race expenses.
- If a bird does not clock and is known to have been in the drop, the bird will be entered as the last bird in that drop. If there is a tie, the birds will share that prize equally.
- If no birds clock within the 48 hours, all money will be divided equally among the actual birds sent to that particular race and refunded minus 20%.
- Birds will be shipped back at the breeder’s expense at the current USPS rate + the cost of a new box.
- Birds not claimed 10 days after the last race will become the property of Nebraska Pigeon Derby.
- Nebraska Pigeon Derby will treat all birds equally and will not be responsible for any lost birds under any circumstances, including shipping, illness, training, injuries, theft, natural disasters, government interference, among others.
- Nebraska Pigeon Derby reserves the right to deny participation in our event to any breeder or individual who does not follow the rules.
- If you are part of a syndicate, we will only accept a single payment for the Perch Fee and Activation Fee. You must choose one member to represent the syndicate.
- The Race Manager reserves the right to make all final decisions.
- All breeders are welcome, as long as they schedule an appointment in advance exclusively with Yoan at 308-389-503.
- No pooling or gambling of any type will be allowed on the property.
- Only the Nebraska Pigeon Derby staff are authorized to handle the birds. No breeder, without exception, is allowed to handle any bird competing in the Nebraska Pigeon Derby.
- To enter the race, participants must be 21 years or older and are responsible for all applicable taxes.
- W-9 forms are required for any winnings totaling $600 or more.
